Our mission is to:

• Promote game development in the Omaha area
• Encourage the creation of game studios - both professional and hobbyist
• Attract quality game development talent to the Omaha area
• Enable game developers to launch or further their carrers in the game industry
• Promote awareness of the game industry to local educational and political entities
• Exchange ideas on game development topics
• Promote an environment for continuing education on game development topics
• Provide a voice for Omaha developers through the IGDA
• Have a lot of fun!

The Omaha Game Developers Association intends to start a local chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). The IGDA is committed to advancing the careers and enhancing the lives of game developers by connecting members with their peers, promoting professional development, and advocating on issues that affect the developer community.
