Who can attend?
Professionals, hobbyists and students interested in game development are all welcomed and encouraged to attend. Just as the game development world needs the services of designers, programmers, artists, modelers and testers, so does the OGDA! No prior experience is necessary.
(In order to keep the OGDA at least somewhat professional, we do ask that all attendees be 18 or older.)
If you would like to be added to the members roster and kept informed of all meeting announcements, contact Dave Mark.
Where does this happen?
For now, we are going to be meeting at the Scooter's coffee shop on 108th and O street. (It shares the building with U-Save Pharmacy).
What's the agenda?
We are open to topics for the next meeting. In fact, there is a message board topic where you can provide your input. Some things that are on the docket, however include:
- Approaching local schools that have programming and graphics classes
- Pros and Cons of starting an IGDA chapter
- Finding guest speakers for future meetings
- Updating each other on our projects
- Finding ways to collaborate on projects
- Discussing ways to start and sustain game studios in Omaha
